Who we are

Data we collect
We collect only the data strictly necessary to operate the service: – Email and name when you create an account – Password stored in hashed form – Licence key and activated device identifier – Anonymised browsing data
User account
Your email address and name are collected when you create an account so we can authenticate you and deliver your licence. This data is necessary to perform the contract. You can modify or delete your account by contacting [email protected].
Licence and activation
Your licence key and the identifier of the device on which you activate Murmur are stored to verify the validity of your access. This data is necessary to perform the licence contract.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (USA). Murmur never stores your payment card details. Stripe is subject to its own privacy policy. A confirmation email is sent to the address provided at the time of purchase.
Transactional emails
We use Resend (USA) to send transactional emails: purchase confirmation and password reset. These emails are sent only in response to an action you take. We do not send commercial newsletters without your prior consent.
Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog to measure site usage. This data collection is subject to your explicit consent via the cookie banner. PostHog is hosted in the United States. Transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you decline cookies, no browsing data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser data.

Website and database: OVH SAS, France. Emails: Resend, Inc. (USA) — EU standard contractual clauses apply. Payment: Stripe, Inc. (USA) — PCI-DSS certified. Analytics: PostHog, Inc. (USA) — EU standard contractual clauses apply.
Data retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon a deletion request, your personal data is erased within 30 days. Payment data is retained for 5 years for accounting purposes in accordance with French law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country.
